As a global leader in smart, healthy, and sustainable buildings, Johnson Controls is seeking an HVAC Service Controls Engineer. The role involves performing assigned system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools, troubleshooting and resolving basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and control problems, and responding to basic warranty calls. Responsibilities include loading system-level controller software, performing basic commissioning and system diagnostics from system-level controllers to end devices (sensors, actuators, etc.), completing all required commissioning documentation, keeping management and JCI contractor or customer informed of job progress and issues, calibrating systems requiring basic electronic test equipment, completing administrative tasks such as time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation, documenting changes and providing information for as-built documentation, communicating with the JCI contractor or customer upon arrival and before leaving the work site, and following all safety standards and attending required safety training with a high regard for employee and subcontractor safety. Required qualifications include 5 years of demonstrated electrical and controls experience with HVAC knowledge, ability to use hand and power tools, basic computer skills, attention to detail, effective communication and listening skills, and US citizenship. Depending on location, mounting and termination of low voltage devices may have special licensing requirements.
