The purpose of this job description is to communicate the responsibilities and duties associated with the position of Toolmaker. Position: Toolmaker

Supervisory Chain: 1. Tooling Manager

2. Plant Manager

3. President

Generic Job Description: The toolmaker is responsible for build activities focused on molds, tooling and fixtures that the Company is hired to manufacture. This includes initial construction, modifications and repairs. It may also include development of personal skills where warranted.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Development/maintenance of all mold related documentation
• Develop solid working rapport with all production personnel
• Assist Tooling manager in design and specification of machinery needed to complete necessary tasks
• Some interaction with customer base with regard to initial definition of final product performance standards
• Mold building activities.
• Remain updated on latest equipment and technology for mold building techniques

Pay Scale: $12.00 - $28.00/hr

Additional quarterly bonuses dependent upon company and personal performance

Occasional untimed performance bonuses based on exceptional effort or recognition from Company personnel

Skills Required:

• Willingness to take calculated risks
• Strong interpersonal skills needed to interact across the entire business
• Demonstrated proficiency with all common machining methods
• 2-5 year experience in the design/construction of molds
• Mechanical/electrical ability to design/specify production equipment
• Ability to utilize high precision measuring equipment
• Ability to apply common sense understanding when developing and/or interpreting written and oral instructions to maintain worker safety and meet expected production demands
• Willingness to accept personal responsibility for quality of work and effort applied while performing duties at the Company
• Strength of personality to pose questions to appropriate personnel (management, co-workers and/or customers) when unsure of how to proceed, or if productivity ideas arise
