Technical Writer- East Plant

Starting Wage: $20.00/hr

Schedule: Mon-Fri 

Hours: Flexible 8am-6pm

*Temporary position hired through Express Employment

What we are looking for

We need someone who can:

• Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft application to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Read and interpret basic technical documents.
• Demonstrate knowledge of basic food safety practices and programs (i.e. GMPs, HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) as it applies to specific plant operations.
• Show familiarity with USDA, FDA and audit principles.
• Confirm a satisfactory current job performance and safety record.
• Work in a variety of temperatures.
• Learn and operate standard laboratory equipment.
• Keep accurate documentation of daily information. 
• Communicate in English (verbally and through writing) to accurately create and document company reports.
• Read and understand product specifications.
• Operate independently and with supervision.
• Perform basic math functions.
• Demonstrate solid interpersonal and communication skills.

• Job Details:

The Technical Writer will be a key person in writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the East Plant. The team of Technical Writers will need to have all of the listed job qualifications as well as someone who thinks mechanically and have a background in working, troubleshooting, and putting together machinery. The Technical Writers should be able to take their SOPs and troubleshoot, put together, and take apart the machine as needed with clear written instructions.

Final Qualifications

• Candidates with a high school diploma or equivalent are preferred.
• Candidates receiving offers of employment will be required to complete a post-offer, pre-placement background check and drug screen.
