Job Description
As a Social Media Marketing Consultant, you will be primarily responsible for nurturing, growing our online community and establishing a strong connection with our audience. You will play a critical role in developing and executing a creative and strategic social media presence across social platforms that enhances our brand reputation, promotes customer loyalty, and drives user engagement. This role is highly collaborative and will require partnership with the broader marketing & content teams.
Note: This is a part time position.
Responsibilities and Deliverables: Responsibilities include content creation, community growth and engagement, social media monitoring and analysis, brand advocacy, crisis management and collaboration with internal and external partners:
- Create and curate engaging content tailored to our community's interests and preferences.
- Develop social media content calendars considering business goals and objectives including but not limited to campaigns, launches and events etc.
- Craft, edit copy for social channels, create visual assets (video/ photo editing) as needed and execute the weekly social calendar.
- Communicate the social team's content needs and partner with internal content creators and creative partners to bring content to life.
- Ideate, develop briefs and collaborate with influencers to drive business goals.
- Develop strategies, tactics to increase the size and reach of our online community across online platforms including outreach efforts, partnerships, and promotions.
- Monitor key web and social media metrics to assess engagement levels and leverage data, insights and best practices to optimize strategies, social creative and copy development with special attention to brand authenticity, tone and voice.
- Stay on top of emerging social media trends, identify and implement new, innovative experiments and ideas to drive brand awareness, grow the audience and drive meaningful conversations.
- Identify and nurture brand advocates within the community, encouraging them to share user-generated content and testimonials to boost brand credibility.
- Encourage meaningful interactions, address concerns and actively participate in conversations on our social media channels, in an empathetic, friendly and professional manner.
- Address any negative sentiments in a timely and thoughtful manner, escalating issues to the appropriate internal teams if necessary.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to ideate, develop social first campaigns, align with broader marketing campaigns and communicate community feedback, insights.
Requirements - 2-3 years social media experience at a brand or creator account.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey the brand's voice.
- In-depth knowledge of various social media platforms and the For You Page.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills to develop engaging content and community initiatives.
- Content creation experience such as video creation and editing, photo editing, etc. and familiarity with in-app creator tools across social platforms.
- Ability to work independently and cross functionally, managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Ability to meet deadlines and post on social media accounts in real time, with little need for oversight.
- Up to date on relevant cultural events and social media trends.
- Managed social media accounts (Instagram) of 250k+ followers a plus.
- Familiarity with the brand's industry (women's health/ femtech) and target audience is a plus.
