Job Description
Day Shift: 6:00AM to 2:30PM
Swing Shift: 2:00PM - 10:30PM
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Set up and operate SMT equipment, including screen printers, pick-and-place machines, and reflow ovens.
· Load and unload components onto SMT machines according to production specifications.
· Monitor machine performance and adjust settings as needed to maintain optimal output and quality.
· Inspect printed circuit boards (PCBs) for soldering defects, component placement accuracy, and overall quality.
· Perform manual touch-up soldering when necessary.
· Utilize inspection tools such as microscopes and Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) machines.
· Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of SMT machines to ensure smooth operation.
· Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine issues; escalate major problems to maintenance technicians or supervisors.
· Maintain accurate maintenance and repair logs.
· Record production data, including quantity produced, defects, and downtime.
· Complete necessary documentation for each production run.
· Report production issues or quality concerns to the supervisor.
· Work closely with the engineering team to implement process improvements.
· Collaborate with quality control and other production staff to ensure a seamless workflow.
· Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certificate in electronics or related field preferred.
• Experience in SMT operation or electronics manufacturing preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with SMT equipment such as screen printers, pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, and AOI machines preferred but not required.
• Basic understanding of electronic components and PCB assembly preferred but not required.
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and assembly instructions.
• Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and machine interface operations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Manual dexterity to handle small electronic components.
• Good vision or corrected vision to see small details.
