JOB DUTIES:
Provides day-to-day operational support of assigned applications and the underlying server and database platforms they run on. Performs software installations and upgrades, 3rd party integrations, system level configuration changes, and troubleshooting and performance tuning while ensuring system uptime and performance metrics are met. Provides advanced technical assistance to analysts supporting the application(s). Serves as a technical liaison to various IT Infrastructure teams such as Server Engineering, Network Engineering, etc.
Facilitates and develops meeting objectives, agendas and action items. Trains and mentors other team members through both formal and informal methods. Serves as the expert technical application liaison between customer, vendor and infrastructure for the team.
Sets customer expectations, prioritizes tasks, and delivers solutions on time; provides advanced technical and end user support for assigned application(s). Utilizes expert level understanding of application architecture, application storage, and how different applications integrate with each other to independently and innovatively solve a full range of complex and unusual problems. Plans large scale implementations and upgrades collaborating with application teams and project management to meet the needs of the project. Provides technical expertise and leadership. Reviews application technical specifications for new projects or requests that require backend application configuration and/or changes to infrastructure.
Monitors health and performance of applications and underlying infrastructure and is proactively engaged in the Incident Management process. Works with cross-functional teams to ensure system uptime expectations are met by minimizing the impact of infrastructure and application outages. Designs systems for fault tolerance, high availability, and ensures they have patching and disaster recovery procedures in place. Establishes responsible deadlines and personal work plans to manage time effectively. Contributes to budget planning process through discovery and analysis of future projects. Identifies opportunities to improve support processes, and, in conjunction with Manager and Lead Administrators, implements improved processes. Automates tasks and pulls system information through script creation using PowerShell or other scripting languages. Utilizes Epic Client Systems Administrator (“ECSA”) infrastructure and programming.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Programming, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field and 6 years of experience in Information Technology or any occupation in which the required experience was gained. ECSA certification must be current or obtained within 6 months.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Up to 5% domestic travel required.
