A mechanical contracting client of ours is seeking a Senior HVAC Systems Design Engineer to join their team. This role will have the ability down the road to transition into management. Seeking strong design skills within HVAC systems and the ability to lead projects. This is a direct hire opening located in St Paul, MN.
Job Title: Senior HVAC Systems Design Engineer
Location: St Paul, MN
Salary: 110-150k, depends on experience
Key Responsibilities - Lead projects that include strategic and space planning, consulting, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, construction documentation and construction oversight.
- Build and sustain client relationships, act as the primary interface with clients, team members, and a wide range of collaborators, both internal and external.
- Support communication between project team, clients, and vendors.
- Conduct life-cycle cost analyses to compare initial costs of project alternatives to operating costs.
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required.
- 10+ years of working knowledge of construction equipment and techniques, drawings and specifications, building materials and required standards applicable to discipline
- 10+ years of experience designing a variety of HVAC systems
- 4+ years proven experience leading and mentoring project teams
- PE preferred, or in process to obtain PE
