THE JOB:

This exciting role offers the chance to earn commission in addition to a competitive base salary. In this role as an Assistant Pastry Chef, you won't just lead the daily operations of our Banquets & Catering bakery you'll help create the sweet moments that leave lasting impressions. With your leadership in the kitchen and warm, welcoming presence, you'll set the stage for exceptional guest experiences. Every guest has a story, and you'll play a key role in turning their visit into a WOW-worthy memory they'll take with them long after they leave.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Support daily bakery operations and step in during the Assistant Executive Pastry Chef's absence
• Supervise and guide the team with consistent feedback and documentation
• Ensure bakery items meet quality and presentation standards
• Assist with scheduling, ordering ingredients, and managing inventory
• Help resolve guest concerns and keep leadership informed
• Collaborate on new recipes and pastry designs for special events

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• 2+ years supervisory experience with organizing and scheduling employees
• At least two years of experience in pastry industry, including large production, high-volume kitchens
• Pastry experience specializing in plated desserts
• Knowledge in high-end pastries and desserts, lamination, chocolate, sugar work, doughs, formulation, and accurate calculation ratios
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
