Summary of position/daily activities: 10+ years of serving as a System Oracle DBA with a Bachelor's Degree or 12+ years with an Oracle Database Certification (Oracle Certified Associate or Oracle Certified Professional). Experience creating shells and SQL scripts for maintaining environment. Proven success in performance optimization for OLTP and OLAP applications. Analytic ability to make forward thinking database architecture recommendations. Extensive implementation skills covering a wide range of Oracle database solutions. Experience with design/implementation of Oracle RMAN backup solutions. Experience with Oracle migration options. Experience with configuring database security. Installation/maintenance of Oracle RAC with ASM. Installation/configuration of Oracle Enterprise Manager. Experience with advanced diagnostics in troubleshooting issues. Ability to work effectively in a strong team-oriented environment. Ability to prioritize requests from multiple projects and support requirements. Self-motivated; taking ownership of projects and issues, including follow through to closure and resolution. Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to details. Strong focus on internal and external customer requirements. Basic qualifications/experience (the required qualifications which are critical to be considered for the position): College Degree (BS, BA, or AAS) in Computer Science or Information Technology related field. Experience may be substituted. Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. for any employer. Active Secret security clearance. CompTIA Security+ Certification. Oracle Certified Associate (OCA). Candidates must have the ability to work at client location. Desired skills/certifications (additional skills that are desired but not required): Proficient in data migration and replication tools and methodology. Experience working with GoldenGate. Experience working with multiple Operating Systems. Experience working with advanced technologies including Real Application Clusters, Data Guard, Transparent Data Encryption, Oracle Exadata, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. Hardening environments in compliance with DISA's Security Technical Implementation Guide. Oracle WebLogic experience is a plus. Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) is a plus. CompTIA Security+ is a plus. Top Secret Clearance is a plus.
