As an integral team member, you'll play a pivotal role, working in tandem with renowned physicians and specialists.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose, treat, and take preventative measures for the oncology patient community.
Collaborate seamlessly with physicians, ensuring comprehensive patient care.
Conduct detailed patient assessments, incorporating health evaluations and physical examinations.
Analyze and interpret lab/diagnostic data, determining suitable interventions.
Enlighten patients on procedures, results, and treatment protocols.
Develop and supervise patient care plans meticulously.
Administer chemotherapy and care for patients within clinical trials.
Facilitate referrals to pertinent specialists when needed.
Maintain patient records with efficiency and diligence.
Educate and guide patients on their health conditions and the best management practices.
Create informative materials for patients, ensuring clarity and empowerment.
Regularly assess patients across various settings and make necessary rounds.
Support and enhance the performance of clinical staff, guaranteeing optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
A Registered Nurse with an endorsement as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse.
Must have prescriptive authority from the Vermont Board of Nursing.
Essential to hold an Advanced Certification in Oncology (ACON).
Licensed by the Drug Enforcement Administration.
At least 3-5 years of experience in direct patient care.
A background in an Oncology setting is highly regarded.
A minimum of 1-2 years in an expanded nursing capacity is necessary.
