Start Time: 4:00 AM to 2:30 PM
Pay rate - $22.67/hr on w2(without benefits)
Education - High school diploma or equivalent required.
Position Overview
This is a Non-Exempt position; hours worked beyond 40 per week will be compensated at time and a half. The Operator II will be responsible for the production of high-quality cardiovascular medical devices within a manufacturing cell. This role involves detailed assembly, operation of equipment/machinery, and adherence to documented procedures. Work may include electronic assembly, mechanical assembly, casting/coating functions, and packaging.
The Operator II must maintain strict compliance with quality standards, safety protocols, and cleanroom practices (as applicable).
Key Responsibilities
· Assemble cardiovascular medical devices and related components according to documented procedures.
· Perform work in a controlled cleanroom environment when required.
· Use various tools and equipment such as microscopes, hand tools, syringes, razor blades, soldering equipment, adhesives, and other precision instruments.
· Conduct visual inspections and precision measurements on components and assemblies.
· Perform functional tests on devices using computerized test equipment.
· Repair or adjust devices/components using microscopes and appropriate tools.
· Package devices, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
· Maintain accurate records for travelers, shop floor paperwork, and quality documents to ensure traceability.
· Dispose of hazardous waste in designated areas and clean tools/equipment per documented procedures.
· Follow all safety guidelines and use appropriate protective equipment.
· Participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives to enhance processes.
· Notify supervisor or lead regarding supply needs or production issues.
· Collaborate with the Manufacturing Supervisor/Manager to meet individual and team performance goals.
· Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing, assembly, or a similar environment.
· Ability to read, comprehend, and follow English written procedures (6th grade level or higher).
· Strong basic math skills (6th grade level or higher).
· Effective verbal communication skills in English.
· Ability to work with electronic data collection systems and basic computer software.
· Strong manual dexterity to handle and assemble small components.
· Ability to prioritize tasks, make critical decisions, and work with minimal supervision.
