Join us! GoFundMe is looking for a Communications Intern interested in entering the field of Public Relations, with a passion for storytelling, creative thinking, research, and helping those in need. The role will support the Global Go To Market team, which includes the US News team, Corporate Communications, and additional disciplines, in garnering stories around our fundraiser organizers and nonprofits, protecting the brand, responding to reporter requests, spotting trends on our platform and forming connections with both news outlets and community stakeholders.

This 10 week internship runs from May 27th, 2026 to August 7th, 2026.

The Job:

  • Sourcing the most compelling stories on the platform to pitch to local, regional and national media outlets
  • Staying abreast of the news happening in designated regions
  • Responding to reporter inquiries
  • Supporting the team during every day and in crisis moments
  • Building connections with media and other key internal and external stakeholders

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Knowledge of the media landscape
  • Basic writing and communication skills
  • Strong desire to help our fundraiser organizers and nonprofits achieve success
  • Ability to spot a compelling story

The hourly rate for this position is $30.00. As this is a remote position, the pay rate was determined by role, level, and possible location across the US.
