Our locally owned medical courier company is hiring professional drivers!

Annual flu shots are mandatory*

DC Express is a family owned and run medical courier company. We provide dedicated courier services to our client, with a focus on exemplary customer service.

We are currently looking to hire 1 courier to drive as needed up to 8 hours a shift in and out of a vehicle, completing deliveries.

Candidates must live in Cheyenne Wells Colorado or be within a 30 minute commute to Cheyenne Wells Colorado.

*All potential candidates must be vaccinated for Flu as mandated by the hospital systems.

A qualified candidate for this position will have experience in and feel comfortable driving in adverse weather conditions. Routes are often impacted by both weather and traffic year round. They will also have some knowledge of the streets and roadways in South Eastern Colorado, Cheyenne Wells, Colorado Springs, Castle Rock, South Denver and Western Kansas. A qualified candidate will have a natural understanding of urgency while maintaining exceptional customer service and great attention to detail. Candidates must also be able to manage stressful situations.

• Employees will be responsible for transporting and delivering a high volume of medical specimens, reports, supplies and slides in a company provided fleet vehicle.
• Applicants should be quick learners with great attention to detail. Potential couriers will be organized, self-sufficient, critical thinkers. The ability to problem solve while maintaining a professional demeanor is a must.
• Applicants should have knowledge of surrounding roadways within our territory, feel comfortable navigating through traffic and have confidence driving in inclement weather conditions.
• Couriers use a handheld barcode scanning device, so applicants should be proficient in and comfortable navigating handheld technologies
• Couriers are required to maintain the cleanliness of vehicles. Carwash passes and cleaning supplies are provided, it is the couriers responsibility to wash, vacuum and clean their vehicle on a daily basis.
• A qualified candidate will have excellent customer service skills and a positive, friendly attitude.

Requirements:

• Applicants will also need to have a clean driving record (no DUI or DWAI) with a current MVR, proof of current insurance, and a valid state drivers' license.
• A reliable vehicle to and from work.
• Applicants will be required to pass a drug test for all illegal drugs under the federal law, as well as a background check.
• Flu shots are required for this position.
• Applicants should be able to lift and carry 40 Lbs. when necessary.

DC Express provides all company vehicles, gas and vehicle maintenance for the routes. 

*There is absolutely no smoking or vaping of any kind permitted in company vehicles*

Job Type: Part time / Per Diem

Pay: From $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Shift:

• Evening shift - 2pm - 10pm
