Job Description & RequirementsWCS Healthcare Partners is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to support an OPWDD educator role at a social services residential facility located in Plainview, NY.
Job Function:
\nConducts training using various methods including role-playing, simulations, and lectures.
\nCertifies AMAP students and ensures all staff receive appropriate medical training.
\nProvides instruction on diabetes care, tube feeding, and colostomy management per OPWDD guidelines.
\nAdministers and reads Mantoux (PPD) tests.
\nDevelops and updates training curricula in accordance with agency and OPWDD regulations.
\nJob Requirements:
\nCurrent New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license.
\n1 year of experience with the OPWDD population.
\nPrior teaching or training experience strongly preferred.
\nExperience in the field of intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred.
