WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking a local contract nurse RN Educator for a local contract nursing job in Plainview, New York.

WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to support an OPWDD educator role at a social services residential facility located in Plainview, NY.

Job Function:

\n

• Day Shift.
\n
• 8:30AM - 4:30PM / 9AM-5PM.
\n

• Conducts training using various methods including role-playing, simulations, and lectures.

  \n
\n

• Certifies AMAP students and ensures all staff receive appropriate medical training.

  \n
\n

• Provides instruction on diabetes care, tube feeding, and colostomy management per OPWDD guidelines.

  \n
\n

• Administers and reads Mantoux (PPD) tests.

  \n
\n

• Develops and updates training curricula in accordance with agency and OPWDD regulations.

  \n
\n

\n

Job Requirements:

\n

• Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license.

  \n
\n

• 1 year of experience with the OPWDD population.

  \n
\n

• Prior teaching or training experience strongly preferred.

  \n
\n

• Experience in the field of intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred.

  \n
\n

\n

\n
