Job Description

ProMedica, one of the largest and most integrated healthcare delivery systems in northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan, is seeking a Full-Time Pediatric Hospitalist to work at ProMedica Ebeid Children's Hospital in Toledo, OH. Ideal candidates should be focused and engaged in a patient-centered care model and interested in teaching medical students and residents. BC/BE required. Pediatric Hospital Medicine certification or eligibility is encouraged but not mandatory.

Responsibilities include:

1. Collaborating with a dedicated team focused on providing quality patient care and upholding high work ethics.
2. Utilizing electronic medical records (EPIC).
3. Contributing to a group currently consisting of 9 pediatric hospitalists, with plans to expand.
4. Working 12-hour shifts, mostly day shifts, with two full-time nocturnists.
5. Coordinating care with the ER and outside facilities to triage patients appropriately.
6. Managing care in a Level 1 nursery (no deliveries or circumcisions) with NICU coverage on campus 24/7.
7. Providing 24/7 coverage for all pediatric patients admitted, including PICU.
8. Collaborating with the University of Toledo Medical School and Pediatric residency program, offering teaching opportunities.
9. Participating in hospital committees and quality improvement initiatives alongside ancillary staff.

Qualifications:

• Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
• Valid medical license to practice in Ohio.
• Board certification.
• New graduates and experienced providers encouraged to apply.
• Current AHA CPR certification.
