About Opportunity 

Velocity Rail Solutions is seeking a dependable CDL Class A Driver with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements- No Automatic Restriction to join our elite team fueling locomotives. This position offers consistent, full-time hours, weekly pay, and year-round stability — no weather or seasonal slowdowns. 

You’ll be paid for a full 12-hour shift — including breaks, lunch, and dispatch wait time — providing income you can count on. If you're looking for a high-paying, local driving job where you're home daily and part of a mission-critical operation, this role is for you.

• $73,462 + annual earnings
• $1610 weekly (60 hours)

• Night shift schedule: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM with rotating midweek days off (alternating Tuesday/Wednesday, Wednesday/Thursday, and Tuesday–Thursday off every third week) 
• 60-hour workweeks (every 3rd week is 48 hours) 
• Overtime pays after 40 hours 
• Manual transmission tractor with tanker (10 speed)

Job Duties 

• Operate as a mobile fueling station for the railroad, hauling and delivering fuel into locomotives using a tractor-trailer tanker 
• Work on an on-call basis during your shift — paid for the full 12 hours regardless of the number of dispatches 
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
• Maintain accurate fuel logs, delivery records, and inventory documentation.
• Communicate effectively with railroad personnel to coordinate fueling operations.
• Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety protocols during transport and fueling.

What You Need to Bring

• CDL Class A with Hazmat & Tanker endorsements 
• Manual transmission experience – no automatic restrictions
• 1 year Tractor-trailer driving experience (Hazmat hauling experience not required) 
• Ability to pass DOT and company background checks 
• No drug or alcohol violations in your Clearinghouse
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled 
• Strong communication and time-management skills

Physical Requirements 

• Able to consistently bend, stoop, kneel, and climb on and off elevated surfaces 
• May have to walk long distances on paved, unmaintained, or uneven surfaces 
• Able to climb in and out of a truck cab multiple times per shift and climb a ladder or steps 10 or more times per day 
• Able to drive and work outside in adverse weather conditions 
• Willing to work with liquid hazardous and dry bulk materials 
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently
