We are seeking a  SQF Quality Manager to lead our food safety and quality assurance initiatives. This role is ideal for a proactive and autonomous individual who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Job Summary:

The  SQF Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with  SQF, HACCP, and PCQI regulations, leading audits, and driving continuous improvement in food safety and quality. This role requires hands-on leadership, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and Maintain SQF Certification – Ensure compliance with  Safe Quality Food (SQF) standards and oversee all related documentation, audits, and certifications.
• HACCP & PCQI Compliance – Develop, implement, and monitor  HACCP plans and  Preventive Controls for Human Food (PCQI)requirements.
• Audit Management – Prepare for and lead  internal and external audits (FDA, USDA, third-party, and customer audits). Address audit findings and implement corrective actions.
• Quality Control & Assurance – Oversee  food safety and quality programs , including GMPs, sanitation, traceability, allergen control, and regulatory compliance.
• Training & Team Leadership – Train employees on  food safety protocols, HACCP principles, and SQF requirements . Foster a culture of quality and safety.
• Continuous Improvement – Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes, implement corrective and preventive actions, and drive efficiency while maintaining quality.
• Regulatory Compliance – Stay up to date with FDA, USDA, and other relevant regulations, ensuring all products meet legal and safety requirements.
• Documentation & Reporting – Maintain accurate records, write reports, and ensure all quality control documentation is complete and up to date.

Qualifications:

• HACCP Certification (Required)
• PCQI Certification (Required)
• SQF Practitioner Certification (Preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3+ years of experience in food manufacturing, quality assurance, or food safety management
• Experience handling  third-party, FDA, USDA, and customer audits
• Strong knowledge of  GMPs, sanitation, allergen control, and food safety regulations
• Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills
• Ability to work  autonomously and take initiative in a fast-paced environment
