We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Permanent Entry Level Tax Analyst to join our dynamic Accounting and Finance team. This position offers a hybrid schedule, providing the flexibility of both remote and on-site work. Our ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is eager to learn and grow within the company, and is ready to take their tax analysis skills to the next level.
Responsibilities:
As a Tax Analyst, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that ensure the smooth operation of our financial department. Your duties will include but are not limited to:
1. Preparing and reviewing income tax returns and reports.
2. Analyzing and interpreting tax regulations, ensuring compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal tax laws.
3. Utilizing Microsoft Excel and other software to maintain and update tax records, create financial reports, and perform data analysis.
4. Assisting with tax audits and tax returns.
5. Researching and planning solutions for tax issues.
6. Collaborating with the accounting team to accurately forecast tax predictions.
7. Keeping abreast of current developments in the tax area for potential impact on compliance and reporting.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications and skills:
1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in tax analysis or a related field.
2. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience in managing complex Excel spreadsheets.
3. Solid understanding of income taxes and experience with tax form preparation.
4. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
5. Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
7. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, on multiple projects.
8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
