The Director of Supply Chain Procurement will directly and indirectly lead the sourcing and procurement for clients of MedVanta. The incumbent will own the processes and policies related to procurement and supply management to ensure materials are purchased to meet the needs of the practice and are negotiated to achieve the best cost consistent with the highest possible quality and outcome. The Sr. Director of Supply Chain Procurement will be expected to develop supplier performance metrics and work with counterparts at key supplier organizations to maximize benefits through creating strong relationships.
Duties include, but are not limited to: - Sourcing and procurement processes, systems, and results across the enterprise, to include strategy development and implementation, common process definition and deployment, procurement organizational development and leadership, and delivery to support the company's business model, strategies, and financial operating plans.
- Partner with the Business Units (BUs), Corporate Functions and Divisions.
- Responsible for driving improvement in our supply management performance including material deflation, indirect savings, supplier development, supplier footprint, quality, and lead time reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve supplier-related issues regarding contracting activities.
- Conduct regular business line reviews with key suppliers.
- Ensure supplier compliance and sales reporting and fee payments.
- Understand and perform audits for regulatory and compliance protocols.
- Act as troubleshooter and solutions specialist as well as efficiency expert.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience - 5+ years in purchasing, materials management, or sourcing roles.
- Healthcare experience preferred, knowledge of Musculoskeletal and Operating Room surgical supplies and pricing is a plus.
- Four-year degree in relevant field (business management, engineering or other as applicable).
- MBA also preferred.
- CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager) certification preferred.
- Experience with MS Suites and other procurement software is a plus.

- Thorough knowledge of CPT & ICD-10 coding procedures.
- Thorough knowledge of Medicare and third-party billing.
- Thorough knowledge of Workers Compensation insurance and its unique features and requirements.
- Able to work independently.
- Exudes professionalism in presentation.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in the English language.
Physical Demands - Must be able to sit for long periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to use appropriate body mechanics techniques when performing desk duties.
- Requires frequent bending, reaching, repetitive hand movements, standing, walking, squatting, and sitting.
- Adequate hearing to perform duties in person and over telephone.
- Must be able to communicate clearly to patients in person and over the telephone.
- Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading materials from printed sources and computer screens.
