R+L Carriers has opportunities for candidates interested in E-Commerce / Native App Development, and have academic and/or professional experience with .PHP and MySQL. Successful candidates will work within the Information Technology Department producing world-class enterprise software applications in support of R+L's leadership in the transportation & logistics industry. The candidates will be key members of an interdisciplinary team creating user information solutions by developing, implementing, and maintaining applications.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Shopify/E-Commerce Development:
  • Develop and customize Shopify themes based on project requirements.
  • Build custom Shopify apps and features to optimize eCommerce functionality.
  • Maintain and enhance existing Shopify stores, ensuring a seamless user experience.
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers to create responsive, visually appealing, and optimized Shopify stores.
  • Integrate third-party and homegrown APIs and services with Shopify to extend store capabilities.
  • Debug and troubleshoot Shopify-related issues (both frontend and backend).
  • Develop and customize other e-commerce platform apps (WordPress, Magento, etc.)
• Native App Development:
  • Develop, test, and deploy native mobile applications (iOS and/or Android)
  • Build custom mobile app functionalities like product browsing, checkout, and account management.
  • Ensure that mobile applications are optimized for performance, scalability, and security.
  • Collaborate with backend developers to integrate server-side logic with mobile applications.

Qualifications

• 3+ Years' experience with PHP, PHP Laravel, MySQL
• 2+ Years' experience in e-commerce development skills
• 2+ Years' experience in mobile app development both for Android and iOS
• Excellent understanding of B2B and B2C business functionality required
• 2+ years of experience working with Shopify, WooCommerce, ability to develop Shopify apps, WordPress plug ins
• Knowledge of other major e-commerce platforms such as Magento, Wix etc.
• Experience working with REST and SOAP API
• Experience with GIT version control
• Experience with external hosting such as Fly.IO, Heroku
• Experience using Xamarin and other native app development tools
