Agricultural Equipment Operator About Santo Domingo: For over 400 years, Santo Domingo Pueblo has been one of the central Indian Pueblos in New Mexico. Summary of Position: Individuals are responsible for operating farm equipment by performing field preparations such as plowing, disking, border-making, and cultivating. May perform tasks, such as leveling fields for efficient irrigation, and other farm field work.
Minimum Qualifications: - High school diploma and 3 years working in Agriculture, Agronomy, Farm and Ranch management; or an equivalent combination of education and
- Extended working hours, including weekends, evenings, or holidays may be
- Valid New Mexico driver's license with ability to meet Santo Domingo Pueblos' liability insurance requirements and maintain eligibility for
- Must satisfactorily pass a background check such as FBI, State Check, Tribal Background, Motor Vehicle, and drug/alcohol test.
- Fluent in both English and the Keres languages
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: - Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Must be knowledgeable with Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Adobe, etc.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Ability to make effective decisions.
- Ability to demonstrate a high level of sensitivity to community issues and concerns.
- Ability to manage people in all fairness and respect.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Ability to write reports and speak to various groups.
- Knowledge of functions and structure of Santo Domingo Pueblo.
- Knowledge and understanding of the Tribal Community Development needs and efforts.
- Knowledge of department organizations, functions, and policies and procedures.
