Job Summary: We are a growing accounting firm looking for an experienced Accountant and Tax Preparer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of providing exceptional accounting services and tax preparation services to clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing client relationships, providing financial reporting and analysis, and ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations. Tax Preparation experience utilizing Lacerte a PLUS.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review financial statements and reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Prepare and file various tax returns, including individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns
• Conduct tax research and provide advice to clients on tax matters, including tax planning strategies and compliance issues
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded
• Assist with IRS audit Letters and communication
• Manage client accounts, ensuring timely and accurate billing and collections
• Keep up-to-date with changes in accounting and tax laws and regulations
• Work with the team to develop and implement accounting and tax policies and procedures
• Train and mentor  and manager junior staff members 

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• CPA or EA certification preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on tax preparation and accounting services
• Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations
• Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Ability to directly communicate with customers and teammates
