Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Registered Nurse in the Wound Care Clinic, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in line with the requirements of the department and the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. Collaborating with medical providers and the care team, you will provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, following established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." You will also act as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization's vision, mission, and values to ensure an outstanding patient experience and positive clinical outcomes.

What you will do in this role:

• • Assess the patient's wounds including etiology and contributing factors and promptly report any change in patient status.
  • Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s), and ensure thorough and timely documentation of care administration in the patient's medical record. - Collaborate with physician to establish and plan of care.
  • Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipating patient needs, and resolving them.
  • Perform dressing changes including NPWT, compression wraps, off loading
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient's medical condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex medical terminology.
  • We are a dynamic, fast-paced multi-specialty outpatient Wound Care clinic seeking a dedicated nurse to take on both clinical and case management responsibilities. In this role, the nurse will not only provide exceptional patient care, but will also oversee patient cases, coordinate treatments, and ensure the best possible outcomes through comprehensive case management.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support through the AHA or ARC
• Registered Nurse, Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate Registered Nurse license.
• Registered Nurse Diploma, Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
• Minimum of two years of acute care experience; experience in ambulatory care is highly preferred.
• 1-2 years of Wound Care Nursing experience in an outpatient clinic or inpatient setting is strongly preferred.
