Southern Systems International is a leader in designing and installing custom heavy-duty conveyor systems and industrial material handling solutions. Our work takes us to job sites across the U.S., and we are seeking experienced Welders / Conveyor Installers to join our traveling field team. If you have a welding background, mechanical skills, and enjoy working in a team-focused environment, this could be the opportunity for you.

What You’ll Do

• Travel nationwide to customer sites for conveyor system installation projects.
• Read and interpret blueprints; use them to complete welding and installation tasks.
• Perform stick welding (certification preferred).
• Safely operate aerial lifts, forklifts, telehandlers, and lulls .
• Install, maintain, and repair heavy-duty conveyor systems and industrial equipment.
• Work closely with a small crew — teamwork and reliability are a must .
• Follow OSHA safety standards and site-specific requirements.
• Anticipate next steps and contribute to efficient project planning.
• Provide your own reliable transportation and maintain a valid driver’s license.

What We’re Looking For

• OSHA Certification (required).
• Stick welding skills (certified preferred).
• Strong mechanical background (auto mechanics, industrial maintenance, millwright).
• Experience in oil field, boilermaker, or industrial construction (preferred).
• Familiarity with construction site safety and best practices.
• Non-union millwright or conveyor installation experience is a plus.
• Ability to work in physically demanding conditions (heights, confined spaces).
• Team-oriented, forward-thinking, and willing to travel extensively.
