Job Description

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required. General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Video Production/Graphic Design Specialist . The position provides an opportunity to enhance the performance and profitability of an organization that supports some of our nation’s fundamental defense services. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions. REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS: Provides photography and videography production including scouting locations, planning production, shot selection, music and sound selection, logging, graphics, animations, digital effects and editing Develops video and graphic assets to support marketing and promotional programs including advertising, social media, website, tradeshows, public affairs, and internal communications Creates original graphics including social media/web graphics, infographics, technical graphics, product/program imagery, logos, motion graphics, and animation to support marketing assets and initiatives Prepares and updates materials to support internal and external communications including Powerpoint presentations, datasheets and other collateral Participates in the development of product promotion and brand campaigns and produces video and graphic assets to support marketing objectives Ensures that all marketing assets are consistent and adhere to the company branding guidelines Participates in the development of plans for product promotion in support of marketing objectives May participate and support advertising campaigns, and/or edit material for organization publications Ensures all advertising is consistent with company branding guidance and upholds the company's reputation KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES: An experienced professional with a broad understanding of professional videography, photography and media production hardware and software Photography and videography skills to be able to compose a shot and understand framing, lighting, color correction, and editing fundamentals Portfolio with detailed descriptions of your specific role in each project Graphic design skills and the ability to create original graphics and animation. Professional experience and understanding of audio capture, hardware/software, editing/mixing and mastering Substantial knowledge and ability to use content creation platforms including Adobe Creative Suite Ability to independently setup and capture video and photos in places that have environmental challenges such as on water, at high elevations and in the elements Proficient knowledge of industry practices Knowledge of marketing concepts, practices and tools that will support company value creation in the markets we serve Able to lead projects from conception to execution Solid knowledge of company’s products and technologies Considerable verbal and written communication skills Able to work independently and prioritize a wide array of tasks to accomplish objectives Ability to work collaboratively with peers and other internal groups and people Detail oriented, ensures that all work is adequate and accurate Shows initiative on assignments and develops creative solutions to complex problems Ability to lift moderate to heavy AV equipment and transport it in personal vehicle. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Drone piloting experience HTML, Apple iOS, Android or other coding experience This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled. USD $93,298.00 - USD $100,951.00 /Yr.
