Job Description

Who We Are

Savage III, Inc. is a premier security and protection firm built on a simple promise:  elite people delivering elite results . Founded and led by former U.S. Secret Service Special Agent Rob Savage III, our mission-driven team includes former Secret Service agents, former law enforcement officers, military veterans, and highly trained security professionals committed to excellence, precision, and integrity.

We protect critical infrastructure, support major corporations, partner with railroads nationwide, and operate in dynamic environments where professionalism matters. At Savage III, your skills are respected, your training is valued, and your work directly impacts safety and security.

Position Overview

The  Uniform Armed Security Specialist assignment at Cajon Pass is an active, high-visibility role supporting railroad safety operations and securing one of the busiest freight corridors in the country. This is  not a static guard post — you will be mobile, engaged, and relied upon to make sound decisions in real time.

You will work closely with railroad police and Savage III leadership to deter crime, protect high-value shipments, enforce safety protocols, and maintain situational awareness across a large outdoor environment. Candidates must be disciplined, observant, professional, and confident working independently.

Key Responsibilities

Your duties will include:

  • Enforcing railroad safety policies and assisting railroad police during incidents or emergencies
  • Deterring and detecting burglaries, theft, tampering, and trespassing involving loaded containers and trailers
  • Inspecting inbound and outbound trains for missing seals, open doors, and unauthorized access
  • Reporting unsealed or compromised containers immediately to railroad police
  • Stopping and identifying all non-employees and private vehicles entering the intermodal ramp or right-of-way
  • Conducting perimeter and fence-line patrols to identify damage, breaches, or open gates
  • Escorting and inspecting inbound trains to prevent vehicle–train incidents and ensure safe movement
  • Performing foot and vehicle patrols of assigned areas to maintain visibility and deter criminal activity
  • Requesting emergency response personnel when high-risk or urgent conditions arise
Why This Assignment Is Unique
  • High-impact mission: Your work protects supply chain infrastructure and high-value freight.
  • Active & engaging: Every shift is dynamic — ideal for those who prefer real field work.
