Job Details

• The Sterile Processing Supervisor (SPS) oversees cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing all instruments for surgical procedures and patient care.
• The SPS will be responsible in making sure the Sterile Processing Department is compliant with TJC rules and regulations.
• Ensuring that the policies and procedures followed in the department are based on current AAMI standards.
• The SPS will take on a position with the Infection Control committee, publishing quarterly reports.
• Delivering these reports and information at those meetings.

Job Requirements

• Central Processing Certification.
• Minimum of 3 years experience as a Sterile Processing Tech with supervisory experience.
• Successful completion of at least 1 previous travel assignment.
• MUST be healthy enough to safely function in a low oxygen environment (8,000' in elevation).
• NOT CURRENTLY ACCEPTING RTO.

Schedule Information

• Guaranteed Hours: While we can't guarantee hours on our contracts, your traveler will be scheduled for around 40 hours per week.
• SHIFTS: 5 x 8 hour shifts per week.
• Occasional weekend call (every 4th or 5th weekend).
• Willingness to work holidays if required.

Additional Details

• RTO: We do not formally approve ANY RTO, but will do our best to accommodate.
• HOUSING: Extremely expensive, especially in winter.
• Consider housing options in the surrounding towns: Basalt, Carbondale, & Glenwood Springs.
• FYI $3500/month is common for a 1 BR apartment in Basalt.
• Travelers looking for a housing budget less than this should probably not be submitted.
• DISPUTES: 30 DAY TIMEFRAME - otherwise they will be denied.
