As a Travel Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) with Fusion Medical Staffing , you will have the opportunity to evaluate, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders in patients of all ages during a rewarding 13-week assignment in Bassett, VA . Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders using standardized assessments.
  • Design personalized therapy programs based on evaluation findings and patient goals.
  • Continuously assess patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on effective communication strategies.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols.
  • Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities.

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid Speech Language Pathologist License in compliance with state regulations.
  • Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree or higher in Speech Language Pathology.
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Experience in Speech Language Pathology (New Grads are welcome to apply).
  • Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position.

Essential Skills

  • Strong critical thinking and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Proficiency in PC skills and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Physical ability to assist with procedures and move equipment (50-100 lbs).
  • Ability to work effectively with a variety of personnel while maintaining professionalism.
  • Capacity to cope with frequent public contact and meet deadlines under pressure.
