Description:
Maintains laboratory inventory of supplies and equipment; cleans and disinfects equipment.
Calibrates, operates and troubleshoots medical equipment.
Adheres to and acts in compliance with all appropriate procedures, protocols, techniques and standards, as they relate to the gross room.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree required.
Valid New York State license and current registration to practice as a Pathologists’ Assistant issued by the New York State Education Department (NYSED).
Certification Requirements:
New York State license and current registration
Experience:
Maintains laboratory safety precautions and adheres to infection prevention procedures.
Participates in accessioning and labeling specimens, storing and disposing specimens, and maintaining reagents and equipment.
