Prokatchers is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Rochester, New York.

Medical specialty: ICU Stepdown Unit

Standard Shift: Days/Evenings/Nights Rotating Shifts, Weekends, Holidays/On-Call/Callback/Charge per Unit Needs.

Weekly Schedule: 3x12

Description:
Through clinical practice, service excellence, professional development, and research and evidence-based practice, The Level II Registered Nurse, under the direction of the Nurse Manager, is accountable for provision of competent care based on established standards.
The Level II Registered Nurse assumes an expanded role, which may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities.

Required Skills & Experience:
Minimum 02 years' experience required.
Telemetry experience required.
Must have Stepdown / PCU experience.
High acuity stroke and neurosurgery experience required.
Needs experience in Q1 neuro checks, EVDs, lumbar drains, sub-dural drains, 3%NS and cardene drips, arterial lines, carotid endarterectomy, aneurysm coil/clips, DBS Insertion (Deep Brain Stimulator), VP shunts, seizures.

Education:
Required Education:
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.

Minimum Degree Required:
Associate's Degree (Community College, MBO)

Preferred Education:
Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Nursing Board Approved Program

Required Certifications & Licensure:
Current NY State RN License required.
BLS (American Heart Association Only).
ACLS (American Heart Association Only).
