• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1780-$1910\n
• Location: Lynchburg, VA 24501 (Virginia healthcare jobs)\n
• Facility: Leading teaching hospital – Neuro ICU, LAC Resource Team\n
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)\n
• Start Date: December 15, 2025\n
• End Date: March 14, 2026\n
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks\n
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts\n
• Hours per Week: 36\n
• Weekend Requirement: 2-3 weekends per month (per unit need)\n
• On-Site Position \n
• Client Cancellation Policy: The client may cancel up to 3 shifts per assignment due to census.\n

\n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n

\n
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Virginia or compact state)\n
• Minimum 2-3 years of recent ICU nursing experience (Neuro ICU preferred)\n
• Prior travel nursing experience required\n
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification\n
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification\n
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification\n
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccination or approved declination\n
• Experience in a teaching hospital setting preferred\n
• Charge nurse experience preferred\n
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted and approved prior to acceptance\n
• No local travelers within 60 miles accepted\n

\n\nICU Nurse Responsibilities\n

\n
• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients with neurological, surgical, and medical diagnoses in the Neuro ICU\n
• Operate advanced clinical equipment: vital signs monitors, glucometers, SCDs, bladder scanners, vein finders, remote telemetry, wound vacs, IV pumps, pulse oximeters, chest tubes, tube feeding pumps, and oxygen delivery devices\n
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including mentoring students and new hires\n
• Float to other hospital units as needed (travel RNs float first per policy)\n
• Demonstrate leadership and mentoring skills in a dynamic clinical environment\n
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with hospital protocols and patient safety standards\n
