Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with options of 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:30 PM - 7:30 AM
\n• Every other weekend requirement: Friday and Saturday for night shift, Saturday and Sunday for day shift
\n• Holiday rotation to distribute holidays fairly
\n• Multi Care Unit with varying patient ratios based on acuity: ICU 1:2, PCU 1:4, MST 1:5-6
\n• Minimum 2 years ICU experience required, or 1 year ICU plus 1 year PCU/Med-Surg from larger facilities
\n• Must take and pass dysrhythmia exam within two attempts with 80% score prior to contract signing
\n• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
\n• Must titrate drips including sedation, vasopressors, and insulin
\n• Float requirements to EC MST, Pediatric unit, and West Campus in Prescott for ICU/PCU patients
\n• Two-hour notice given before floating assignments
\n• Take 12-lead EKGs and monitor bedside cardiac monitors for ICU patients
\n• Standby rotation required during low census periods
\n• Any scrub color permitted except camouflage
\n• Common diagnoses include sepsis, suicide attempts, drug/alcohol withdrawal, COPD, respiratory arrest, pneumonia, DKA
\n• Charting system: Cerner
\n• Unit and hospital orientation provided
\n• 4 shifts per contract cancellation policy (3 shifts if contract under 13 weeks)

This healthcare facility operates a 10-bed Multi Care Unit that provides three levels of acuity care within a single unit, eliminating the need for patients to transfer between different units. The facility offers comprehensive respiratory therapy support with ventilators, BiPap, and CPAP equipment, along with remote monitor technicians for PCU and MST patients. The organization maintains high standards for critical care services and provides extensive support systems including charge nurses who manage 50 inpatient beds across multiple specialties.
