Work Schedule Standard business hours are M-F, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Individual and work group schedule determined by the Air Quality Division.

This position is a member of our Air Quality Division.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING ...
- Prepare, coordinate, track, and proofs correspondence, reports, Computer Access Request Form (CARFs), and purchase request; schedule meetings; and perform timekeeping duties.
- Distribute documents, maintain files, and complete other office support duties, including serving as a backup travel coordinator for the division.
- Serve as the records liaison for the division, coordinating requirements relating to program records maintained in the Central File Room. Work closely with the Records Administrator to ensure agency records management policies and procedures are followed in the division to include records retention, storage, access, and destruction.
- Order and maintain an adequate inventory of goods and services.
- Respond to telephone inquiries, answers questions, and provide assistance regarding division program activities or administrative rules, regulations, policies, and procedures to agency staff, management, the regulated community, and the public as requested.
Qualifications: KEY QUALIFICATIONS - Experience providing administrative assistance to a wide variety of staff, from entry level to management.
- Experience in records management, to include records retention, storage, access, and destruction.
- Experience as a timekeeper administrator in CAPPS
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS - Graduation from a standard senior high school or its equivalent plus five years of full-time experience providing administrative support in an office setting.
- Fifteen semester hours from an accredited college or university may be substituted for each six months of the required experience with a maximum substitution of four years.
OR - Two years as an Administrative Assistant IV at TCEQ.

CURRENT TCEQ EMPLOYEES This position is also available as a lateral transfer opportunity (LTO) to TCEQ employees within the Administrative Assistant V state classification. The selected candidate must meet the minimum qualifications of the corresponding job in the Administrative Assistant V series.
