We are seeking a dedicated and motivated student to join our team as a Student Employee in the Computer Information Systems Department. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience and contribute to the success of our department while balancing your academic commitments. As a student employee, you will provide valuable support. This position requires a commitment of 15-20 hours per week during the Fall 2024 semester.
Responsibilities:
* Assist in setting up lab equipment in the classroom as needed (servers, switches, routers).
* Assist in maintaining lab equipment in the classroom (servers, switches, routers).
* Collaborate with instructor and team members on special projects and initiatives as needed.
* Ability to follow directions, prioritize tasks. and meet deadlines.
Qualifications:
* Must be currently enrolled as a student at our college during the Fall 2024 semester.
* Must have completed at least one networking course in the College's Cisco Academy.
* Must have a willingness to want to learn and to correctly follow directions.
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently at times, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

This position is only available to current SJR State students who are eligible for student employment and qualify for federal work study. High school diploma or equivalent required.
