Stick Welder/Millwright
$30 per hour + $100 per day per diem
Caldwell, ID
Duties and Requirements:
Read and interpret project plans, blueprints and other written instructions and diagrams to perform task at hand
Develop complete understanding of contract plans and specifications; and plan, lay-out, and weld components in accordance with those plans and specifications.
Examine/inspect field conditions and identify problems, inaccuracies, and cost saving measures that arise or that may be encountered. Take corrective actions as needed.
Read and interpret project plans, blueprints and other written instructions and diagrams to perform task at hand
Perform tasks involving physical labor at the construction site.
Follows project specifications or Quality Control program documents
Perform MIG, TIG and ARC and other types of weld based on project needs
Field install welds, including: Structural; duct work, hoppers, bag house’s, attachment points for electricians and pipefitters. Pipe; Stainless steel, chrome and carbon pipe. Other projects as assigned.
Select proper fillers for jobs based on project specifications
Coordinate with field labor crew for efficient installations
Conserve resources whenever possible to ensure budgetary integrity and client satisfaction
De-bur and grind metal as necessary to achieve proper surface texture
Communicate with Foreman regarding any problems arising, materials required, or any hazards noted
Move in and around confined and cluttered places, and uneven areas. Full range of motion and flexibility.
Climb and maintain balance on steel framework, stairs, ladders and scaffolds.
Identify safety hazards you or other employees may be subject to and take all necessary corrective action to eliminate or minimize hazards.
Understand and respond appropriately to all safety hazards and warning devices (i.e. back-up alarms, smell of smoke, different colored warning tags, warning sirens).
Work up to a 12-hour shift doing hard physical labor in varying temperature extremes and other outside conditions
Operate mobile equipment, skid steer, fork lift, high lift, scissors lift, pay loader, and other site equipment as necessary
Physical Demands:
Maintain physical strength and stamina; Use arms, hands, and legs fully; Push, pull, and frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds; and stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb. Stamina to perform this task repetitively and continuously for several hour intervals.
Uncontrolled environmental conditions: Constant change in weather and site conditions
Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crawling and reaching to perform everyday job tasks. May work at heights typically up to 100’
Responsibilities:
Each employee must provide steel toe boots
Each employee is required to provide their own set of hand tools, belts, tool bags, sledge hammer, and other personal tools needed to preform daily tasks as required. The Company will provide all power tools and personal safety gear
Follow OSHA and company safety rules and regulations
Qualifications/Skills Required
Visualize objects in three dimensions from drawings
Work under production schedule pressure
Attain set standards of accuracy
Evaluate information based on measurable standards; and see details in objects or drawings and recognize slight differences in shapes and shadings
Physically, workers must be able to: Keep good balance and work at heights
See well (either naturally or with correction)
Coordinate the use of eyes, hands, and feet

This position is a Full-Time hourly position. The schedule can vary based on the project requirements. Typically, 60 hours/week.
