Job Number 687298BR Description:As the Software Product Acquisition Manager (SPAM), responsibilities include providing engineering management and oversight for the supplier software development efforts for the F-35 & IFG Electro-Optical/Infra-Red (EO/IR) IPT; Participate in and influence design decisions; Coordinate and provide supplier software deliveries; Provide periodic project status to Program Management; and Manage EO/IR Software Problem Anomaly Report (SPAR) metrics. Prior subcontractor management experience preferred. This position will interface weekly with the supplier. Other duties will include maintaining EO/IR entries into the Air System Restrictions Database (ASRD); coordination of internal reviews and maintaining EO/IR Flight Series Data (FSD) modules; and supporting system level reviews for ASRD and Flight Series Data Change Request's (FSDCR). This includes maintenance and publication of the F-35 EO/IR Interface Requirements Specification (IRS), as well as the maintenance of the message format definitions in the Signal Interface Management System (SIMS) tool. Final DOD Secret Clearance and ability to be cleared to Special Access Programs required. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. This position requires the candidate travel approximately one week per month. Basic Qualifications: -Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. -Disciplined in software development processes & methods -Must be able to get program clearance in addition to having a Final Secret Clearance. -Bachelor's degree in an Engineer/Technical field. Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. This position requires a Final Secret Clearance with an investigation within the last 5 years to start. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
