Job Title: Machine Operator II
Type of Role: Contract to Hire
Shift / Hours: Day & 2nd shift available (10% shift differential for 2nd shift)
Location: Phoenix, AZ 85034
Hourly Range: $21 - $23
Under close direction of experienced operators or a Production Team Leader, operates the SMT placement equipment and/or other equipment in order to perform the tasks necessary to manufacture PCBs and/or systems.
Role and Responsibilities:
· Reads and follow assembly prints, work instructions, drawings, procedures and specifications used in the manufacture of PCBs and/or systems
· Responds to written and verbal instructions
· Obtains certifications on assigned equipment
· Maintains a clean work environment and follow all company policies and practices regarding safety and material handling
· Use cross-reference tools available to identify part numbers, descriptions, and vendor; Recognize all part markings including speed and values (ohms)
· Assists with line changeover
· Identifies feeder by size and type in SMT equipment
· Demonstrates the use of cross-reference tools available to identify part numbers, descriptions and vendor
· Removes hazardous waste at the end of each shift and put in waste storage area, check to see that labels are present and closes containers when not in use
· Continuously maintains a clean machine
· May be involved with hazardous waste handling duties
Skills and Experience:
· Highschool diploma or equivalent
· SMT Machine operating experience
· Understanding of and ability to use continuous improvement tools.
· Strong customer service and client focus
· Working knowledge of productivity tools, including Microsoft Office products and WebEx conferencing software
