You care deeply about your teammates and customers, and find fulfillment in owning the full lifecycle of product development—from technical architecture to production deployment.

You have extensive experience in software engineering with a strong background in payment systems. You're excited to leverage your expertise while continuing to learn new technologies in our rapidly evolving fintech ecosystem.

What you’ll do:

You'll architect and implement the systems that power family banking at scale. This means building robust payment processing workflows, designing APIs that financial institutions integrate with, and creating mobile experiences that both parents and kids love using.

Working closely with our product, design, and business teams, you'll help us balance our need to innovate quickly with the rock-solid reliability that financial services demand. Every feature you build helps families make better financial decisions and strengthens the relationships between our financial institution partners and their customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and implement scalable backend services and APIs
• Lead full-stack development from React Native mobile apps to backend systems
• Design and optimize payment processing workflows and money movement systems
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in technical decision-making
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and business teams
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and security best practices
• Drive code quality, testing standards, and deployment processes

• 8+ years of full-stack software engineering experience at senior or staff level
• 3+ years of production Go development with demonstrated expertise
• Strong React and React Native experience building consumer-facing applications
• Payment system expertise example include:
  • ACH transfers, card processing, and banking integrations (Galileo)
  • Payment processor APIs (Stripe, Plaid, or similar)
  • Financial compliance requirements (PCI-DSS, banking regulations)
  • Ledger management
• AWS cloud services experience with Lambda, RDS, SQS, and related technologies
• Database design and optimization with PostgreSQL or similar systems
• API design and microservices architecture at scale
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation

• Previous fintech or financial services experience
• Experience with real-time payment rails (FedNow, RTP)
• Knowledge of banking partnership integrations
• Mobile app store deployment and management
• Monitoring and observability tools (DataDog, New Relic, etc.)

• Frontend: React, React Native
• Backend: Go (AWS Lambda), PostgreSQL (RDS)
• Infrastructure: AWS (Lambda, SQS, RDS, CloudWatch), AWS CDK for infrastructure as code
• CI/CD: CircleCI, AWS CodeBuild, AWS CodePipeline
• Payments: Various payment processors and banking APIs

Till provides standard ranges in order to be compliant with local legislation as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates. The compensation information provided here is based on a good faith estimate at the time of this job posting.

The salary range for this position is $150,000 - $180,000. Ranges are based on function, level, and office location, and are benchmarked against similar stage companies. Exact compensation amounts are determined by multiple factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and office location, and may vary above or below from the amounts listed above.
