Job Description

Position Summary:

The Senior Media Planner is a key player with hands on leadership to shape and execute effective omni-channel media campaigns which leverage market opportunities and deliver on client goals. This role requires you to work as part of an integrated media planning team to ensure media is grounded in insights, experience, and current knowledge of client products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take direction from Media Director to prepare, write and present comprehensive media plans, proposals and analysis that align with client objectives and advertising strategies.
  • Collaborate and assist other planners on the team to ensure media plans are developed using required templates for cohesive presentation of all required components.
  • Maintain the media plan and regularly evaluate the campaign performance.
  • Prepare and present evaluations of media opportunities, media trends and issues of interest to clients.
  • Coordinate with all internal teams to ensure cohesive omni-channel planning and presentation.
  • Initiate and coordinate the media buying process to deliver exceptional results.
  • Oversee the administration and maintenance of the media plan.
  • Responsible for accurate and timely client finance reports and budget control reports (BCRs).
  • Ensure client budgets are managed and on track.
  • Support the creation of campaign post reports.
  • Source and evaluate proposals from media partners as required.
  • Prepare media Point of Views (POVs)/evaluations.
  • Remain up to date with latest updates from major media partners.
  • Continue to proactively develop knowledge of the media landscape and target audiences.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Professional or educational background in Marketing and/or Advertising. Experience with motorsports a plus.
  • 4+ years of experience in integrated media planning in an agency setting.
  • Broad knowledge of all media channels and media buying, including OOH, DOOH, CTV, Linear, Activations, Endemic Direct buys.
  • Hands-on experience with tool such as IBM, Acoustic, Datorama, Adobe, Core metrics, Web trends and knowledge of analytics tools (e.g. Tableau, Looker).
  • Familiarity with campaign evaluation metrics and analytics.
  • Deep knowledge of funnel tactics.
  • Client service oriented.
  • Strong learning agility, with a passion for continuous development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly developed organizational skills with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently.
  • Proactive approach to problem solving, assisting the team, self-development, etc.
  • Ability to develop and foster relationships with media partners.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Keynote.
