Job Description Design of electrical systems for facilities for Government, Military, University, and private clients. Provide conceptual / detailed design and analysis for facility power distribution (600V), site power distribution (15kV), emergency power generation, grounding and lightning protection, lighting design, telecommunications (voice/data), fire alarm / mass notification, security, access control, and special systems. Provide supporting documentation such as calculations, reports, and specifications. This individual is expected to possess extensive knowledge on electrical regulatory codes. Meet with clients to prepare and/or validate proposed scope of work. Prepare fee proposals for engineering design work. Work with other disciplines to ensure accuracy of the package, meet schedule, and budget commitments and meet expectations for attendance and punctuality. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment Ability to complete tasks with accuracy and with strong attention to detail Ability to consistently meet deadlines, completing tasks as previously defined Ability to travel as needed. Ability to write and edit specifications Work in a design team environment, including directing and mentoring the work of junior engineers and designers, and delegating work as required as well as provide management of the local team. Manage direct reports of local and remote engineering staff and providing leadership. Providing annual performance reviews and merit increase for staff. Capable of performing all the above with minimal direction An agreed upon hybrid schedule, working from both home and office, is available to employees in good standing. MUST be near the following offices Greenwood Village, CO, San Antonio, TX, Merritt Island, FL, or Atlanta Area offices. Required Education/Experience Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is required. Twelve (12) years of experience in facility Electrical Engineering design. Minimum twelve (12) years of experience using REVIT/AutoCAD or other design software-based drawing generation. Experience using electrical calculation tools is required, including lighting and power software such as AGi32, Elum Tools, SKM Power Tools, ETAP, and EasyPower. Proficient using Microsoft Office Excel & Word. Experience with technical codes such as NEC, NESC, NFPA, IEEE is required. Experience with Department of Defense and government clients is highly desired. Client projects for this position require U.S. Citizenship. #DICE Spectra Tech
