Security Guard - NYC Retail Store (Full Time)

Spinelli Kilcollin is seeking a professional full time Security Guard for its New York City store. This role will be vital in providing security and executing guidelines provided by the Store Manager. This role will provide a seamless in store experience for clients and the ability for salespeople to sell with ease.

The ideal candidate will uphold Spinelli Kilcollin's reputation for exemplary service within the fine jewelry industry. Responsibilities include opening and closing the store with the staff, ensuring that the sales staff can give attention to clients upon entry, that goods are reviewed and monitored while clients are shopping, and that salespeople feel they can control the environment based on the number of people allowed entry. This role will report directly to the Store Manager, and communication will be based on store needs. This in-person role is based at our SoHo retail store and requires them to work a set schedule from Tuesday to Saturday.

Responsibilities include:

• Attending to any in store issues that pertain to security
• Bringing any issues to management that involve keeping the store secure
• Opening and closing the store with staff
• Coordinating with outside security personnel to ensure proper staffing levels at all times
• Train security staff on company expectations prior to working in store.
• Serve as the on site point of contact for maintenance needs
• Showing consistency in professionalism in all actions
• Maintaining client entry based on the bandwidth of the current salespeople to ensure exemplary customer service
• Direct communication with management and staff

Who you are:

• 4+year of experience in the security industry
• Based in New York City
• Brings consistency and accountability to the role
• Ability to thrive in a goal-driven, fast-paced environment with a strong sense of urgency
• Demonstrates diligence and focus
• Demonstrates a strong work ethic and are reliable
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays to support retail events and meet demand

Compensation: This is an hourly position of $30 an hour
