Position Summary

As a Security Engineer I, you will be a vital part of our cybersecurity team, responsible for implementing and maintaining our security systems. This role is pivotal in protecting our digital assets from threats and vulnerabilities and ensuring compliance with our security protocols. Your technical skills, attention to detail, and proactive approach will be essential in safeguarding our information technology infrastructure.

Salary range: $69,449-90,283

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to

• System Security Implementation: Deploy and maintain security measures and controls to protect digital systems from cyber threats
• Vulnerability Assessment and Risk Management: Regularly perform vulnerability assessments and risk analysis to identify potential threats and recommend mitigation strategies
• Incident Response Support: Assist in responding to security breaches or incidents, including detailed post-event analyses
• Security Monitoring: Monitor security access and perform regular checks on network and security systems
• Collaboration with IT Teams: Work closely with IT teams to implement security solutions and maintain overall network and system integrity
• Security Policy Compliance: Ensure compliance with the latest regulations and security policies and procedures
• Research and Development: Stay updated with the latest security systems, tools, trends, and technologies
• Reporting: Provide regular reporting on the status of the information security program and any identified security risks
• Technical Support and Training: Offer technical support to end-users, addressing their security concerns, and provide security awareness training as needed

Required Skills and Experience

• 1-3 years of experience in an information security role
• Solid understanding of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, authorization, and security
• Good working knowledge of current IT risks and experience implementing security solutions
• Experience with Vulnerability Management
• Experience with network and security technologies (firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, network monitoring, etc.)
• Effective troubleshooting skills and ability to solve complex problems
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Ability to commit to an on-call schedule for off hours Incident Response
• Experience with cloud security

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Professional certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or other relevant credentials
• Familiarity with web-related technologies and of network/web related protocols
• Experience with incident detection, incident response, and forensics

Physical Requirements

• Repetitive motions that include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
• Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting, remaining in a stationary position for prolonged periods
• Visual perception to perform job including peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
