Early Childhood School Social Worker

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated School Social Worker to team up with us and foster positive transformation in the lives of Early Childhood students in Crestwood, Illinois. In this position, you will play a crucial part in supporting a 43-student caseload and will work with another SSW in the building. Responsibilities:

• Provide targeted support to identified students in the Early Childhood setting.
• Manage a 43-student caseload.
• Collaborate and work alongside another SSW in the building.
• Will have their own office space.
• Implement crisis intervention strategies to ensure student well-being and success.
• Advocate for students’ holistic welfare (social, emotional, academic).
• Cross-functional collaboration with teachers and families to understand how to best meet student needs.
• Provide push-in and pull-out services as needed.
• Develop and track interventions in order to understand IEP effectiveness. 
• Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Master’s (MSW) or Doctoral degree in Social Work
• LMSW license eligible in the State of Illinois
• Previous experience in an Early Childhood setting is preferred
