Overview:
Soliant Education is partnering with a school district in Hazel Dell, WA, to find a passionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join their team and provide high-quality healthcare services to students. As a school-based RN, you will play a key role in ensuring that students have a safe and healthy learning environment.

This position is a full-time, school-year role, where you will support the health needs of students, provide first aid and emergency care, and manage student health plans. This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse who is passionate about working with children and contributing to their academic and physical well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct health services to students, including first aid, emergency care, and the management of chronic health conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments, maintaining accurate records in pliance with district policies and regulations.
• Develop and implement Individualized Health Plans (IHPs) for students with chronic conditions or special medical needs.
• Conduct health screenings and assessments (e.g., vision, hearing, scoliosis).
• Serve as a liaison between the school, parents, and healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care for students.
• Educate students and staff on health issues, including hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention.
• Monitor and manage student immunization records and ensure pliance with state health regulations.
• Participate in emergency preparedness and response planning, including the management of student health emergencies.
• Maintain confidential health records and follow all district policies regarding student privacy and confidentiality.
• Provide health education to students, staff, and families as needed.

Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of Washington.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Experience working with children or in a school setting is preferred.
• Strong munication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, parents, and staff.
• Ability to remain calm and focused in emergency situations.
• Knowledge of mon childhood health conditions, allergies, and medications.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and FERPA regulations.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• School Nurse certification or experience working in a school health environment.
• Pediatric nursing experience.
• Familiarity with the school health programs and procedures in Washington state.
