Soliant Education is seeking a skilled and dedicated Remote Educational ASL Interpreter to support students in the Gettysburg, PA area for the 20252026 school year. This is a fully remote contract position with full benefits and weekly pay. We are seeking professionals who are passionate about supporting Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in their educational journey.
Assignment Details:
School year: 20252026
Caseload: To Be Determined (most likely 1:1 roles)
Schedule: Based on student need and district requirements
Pay Range: $30$40 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
Hours: Variable, dependent on district caseload. Minimum 35 hours per week
Minimum Qualifications:
Must have an EIPA score of 3.5 or higher
OR
Be registered with the Pennsylvania Office of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing with a valid NIC certification. No EXCEPTIONS!
Must be able to provide proof of certification and registration
Previous experience in an educational setting preferred
Reliable internet connection and appropriate technology for remote interpreting
Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one interpreting services to Deaf or Hard of Hearing students in a remote educational setting
Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and families to support student communication access
Facilitate communication between student and peers/educators during virtual instruction
Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity at all times
Attend virtual IEP meetings or related support sessions as required
If Remote, position is 1099 Independent Contractor role with no benefits offered.
