Healthcare Data Analyst /Associate Informaticist
Location and Work Type: Remote (States ineligible for remote work: Ohio, Wyoming, North Dakota)
Salary and Benefits: $80K - $109K (not negotiable)
Role Summary: Our client, a leader in the healthcare industry, is seeking an Associate Informaticist to join their dynamic Tools and Solutions team within the Analytics Organization Hub. This role is integral to developing automated and actionable insights that drive operational efficiencies and innovation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SAS, SQL, and Tableau, with a focus on healthcare data. This position offers extensive opportunities for growth and learning with new tools and technologies.
Required Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in Base & Advanced SAS, preferably with SAS certifications and extensive macro utilization.
Proven experience in designing, developing, and maintaining data extraction/transformation jobs, analytical reporting, and automated programming with reusable and SAS macro-driven components.
2+ years of experience in SQL, preferably with multiple Database Management systems and understanding of indexed and efficient table joins.
1+ years of Tableau dashboard development experience.
Flexibility to switch between problem research/resolution and building sustainable processes.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with healthcare data.
Ability to work directly with business users to understand their requirements, plan, and design independently.
Experience in engaging and supporting projects in both payor and provider verticals.
Responsibilities:
Extract and calculate metrics from multiple data sources, using SAS to prepare data for Tableau dashboards related to harm events, patient safety, adverse events, and more.
Develop and maintain a 360-view of data to support various projects.
Engage directly with business users to gather requirements, plan, design, and build solutions.
Take ownership of projects from start to finish, including requirements gathering, documentation, build, deployment, and training analysts on new tools.
Contribute to the innovation and enhancement of data delivery and presentation to improve operational efficiencies.
