Job Summary: A Registered Nurse (RN) position on the weekend shift is available at our 24-7 Adult Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU). The RN will provide nursing care services for psychiatric consumers in the Adult CSU; design nursing care plans and assist in developing the overall care plan for psychiatric consumers; and ensure appropriate overall care is administered in a manner conducive to recovery.
Qualifications: Minimum Associate’s degree in nursing required; current RN license in Mississippi and previous psychiatric experience preferred. Employee must demonstrate ability to recognize consumers’ individual needs based on medical conditions, age (children and youth), limitations and planned procedures. Good oral and written communication skills are necessary. Must have valid Mississippi driver’s license and maintain proof of auto insurance. OSHA – moderate to high risk. May be exposed to infections and contagious diseases; occasional exposure to unpleasant consumer or unit elements, subject to varying and unpredictable situations.
