Quality Engineer

Full-time

Rushville, IN

Ensure all components consistently meet customer and internal quality standards. Lead defect reduction and process improvement efforts; prevent nonconforming parts from reaching the customer. Partner with engineering, production, and suppliers from new product launch through mass production.

What you will be doing as a Quality engineer:

• Interpret engineering drawings, customer specifications, and technical requirements to validate final product conformance
• Manage and monitor QA process controls for incoming materials, components, and finished cast parts
• Lead nonconformance investigations using structured problem solving (8D, 5‑Why, Fishbone) and implement corrective/preventive actions
• Audit suppliers, work with them to prevent defects upstream, and act as technical liaison with customers and suppliers
• Lead continuous improvement (e.g. KAIZEN) to reduce scrap, rework, and improve yield and efficiency
• Support new product launches: cross‑functional coordination, safe launch planning, pre‑ and post‑launch verification
• Collaborate with production, tooling, maintenance, and engineering to resolve quality issues quickly and permanently

What you will need as a Quality Engineer:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, with emphasis on automotive preferred.
• Strong technical expertise: ISO 9001, IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, control plans, FMEA, SPC, Measurement System Analysis (MSA)
