Description
In this position you will be responsible for ensuring quality in all the goods being stored and distributed via our cold storage facilities. Duties may include studying specs, conducting research and competitor analysis, analyzing the produce and ensuring that the attributes and characteristics meet customer expectations and company standards.
What you'll do (including, but not limited to): - Update Lotpath (view specifications, update farmers).
- Aid in establishing quality specifications.
- Assist shipping orders and communicating with vendors and agencies regarding status.
- Conduct physical inventory, including all necessary audits.
- Ensure all products meet quality standards through inbound and outbound inspections.
- Sample cargo received at the border to ensure quality and quantity is accurate
- Review and evaluate the product that reaches the warehouse (weight, size, color, temperature, etc.) according to specifications provided by the company.
- Upload input and output evaluations of inspected products to the system (in due time and form).
- Assign inventory to pick tickets.
- Check product sent for sale and distribution meets customer's specifications, ensuring customer specifications are met for label, packaging, size, stickers, slip sheets, pallet count (cs/pallet), ice levels, temperature levels, and quality.
- Carry out the traceability system.
- Make barcode labels for different clients. Put them in the boxes and / or platforms that require it.
- Monitor the loading of all orders onto trucks to ensure that all product for each order has been properly and completely loaded.
- Inspect product that has been in the cold room for more than 3 days and generate reports that contains all necessary aspects to make decisions, relaying information to Sales team and the Mexico team.
- Assign recorder/Locus Traxx to order and send number to whom it may concern.
- Guarantee the adequate use of all the resources provided by the company. (ie. Famous)
- Use the manual and technical tools to unify the information.
- Perform other duties as requested.
Requirements
- Minimum 1+ years of experience in Quality Control in the food and beverage distribution industry, including thorough knowledge of quality control standards and methodologies.
- Certification of Quality Control (ISO 9000 or similar) highly preferred.
- Fully fluent in English and Spanish, both verbal and written, is required.
- Proficient in computer word processing and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong regard for quality assurance according to company standards.
