Opportunity Overview
SD Solutions, LLC is seeking an experienced Proposal Writer to join our Proposal Team. The ideal candidate for this position will bring a proven track record of successfully managing new business opportunities from capture to solicitation to submission. The Proposal Writer will focus on a full range of proposal activities from pre-RFP preparation, strategy, and win theme development through writing and submitting winning proposals. Working closely with other internal stakeholders, this role will lead proposal management and proposal writing. The ideal candidate must have knowledge and experience in federal contracting, as well as perform the following tasks:
•Lead strategic, corporate priority proposals, develop initial approaches, incorporate past performance
•Set schedules, lead efforts, guide writing, creating compliant and compelling proposals.
•Tailor resumes and past performance narratives
•Have experience in developing tables and graphics in PowerPoint and/or Adobe Illustrator
•Coordinate receipt of past performance questionnaires or other data calls
•Assist in managing our SharePoint-based proposal management system
•Take ownership of proposals from concept to submission and archival
•Independently respond to RFIs and Sources Sought Notices based on knowledge base and minimal inputs
•Develop compliance matrices and manage data calls

Requirements Overview
•Five (5) or more years of experience in proposal writing and management
•Three (3) or more years of experience working on federal government proposals writing content for professional services and IT-centric contracts
•Expert Microsoft Word skills (including templates, styles, macros) and desktop publishing
•Ability and willingness to work flexible hours to meet dynamically changing needs and delivery schedules
•Excellent writer and editor with knowledge of GPO styles
•Location: Flexible within the CONUS; telework possible
•Travel not required
•Bachelor's degree preferred; five years of relevant experience can be substituted for a degree
•Must be U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder

Superstar Qualifications
•Advanced, adaptive writing skills with a strong orientation towards clarity, completeness, and compliance
•Understanding and experience with the principles of configuration management and document control
•Strong capabilities with graphics software, preferably Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop
•The capacity to manage multiple proposals simultaneously
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to give and receive candid feedback in an open, results-oriented environment
•Ability to independently resolve issues, and the disposition to promptly escalate larger issues
